Privacy Policy
1. Introduction & GDPR Compliance
Welcome to A11yAudit. We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, process, and safeguard information when you use our instant accessibility audit engine, in full compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data We Collect & Process
We believe in data minimization. When running an audit, we process the following information:
- Submitted URLs: The web addresses you submit for analysis are processed transiently to load the targeted site, execute the axe-core rulesets, and compile your HTML report.
- Technical Logs: Your IP address, browser type, and interaction time are briefly logged by our hosting servers to ensure application safety, prevent system abuse, and mitigate DDoS security threats.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Under European data protection laws, our processing of your technical infrastructure information is justified under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (Legitimate Interests), which allows us to optimize functionality, track system stability, and provide the scanning service safely to our users.
4. Data Retention & Third-Party Sites
The accessibility evaluations you generate are temporarily serialized into download tokens. These tokens and their corresponding report assets are systematically pruned from our volatile servers and are not maintained permanently. We do not gather or analyze personal credentials found on external target URLs submitted through the form card input pipeline.
5. Your Rights Under EU Law
As a European citizen or resident, you retain complete rights under the framework of the GDPR, including:
- The right to request deletion or erasure of transient records associated with your network parameters.
- The right to object to automated system handling rules if applied outside standard auditing contexts.
- The right to file structural concerns directly with your local supervisory European Data Protection Authority.
